India’s iconic film Sholay celebrates 50th year with screening at Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival in Bologna, Italy
The Sholay screening, which happened at the open-air Piazza Maggiore, commemorated the 50th anniversary of the film, which featured an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bachchan (then Jaya Bhaduri), and Amjad Khan.

Mr Sippy, born to the legendary GP Sippy and Mohini Sippy, was in his early 20s when he directed his first film, Andaz. The subject of the film, dare I say, was way ahead of its time — a love story featuring a married man and a married woman.
