A Singaporean woman’s maiden flying experience with Air India is winning hearts online. Grace Glazee, who was travelling to India for the first time, shared her journey on Instagram, and her post has gone viral.
The incident brought back memories of the 2022 Air India ‘pee-gate’, where Shankar Mishra, a former Wells Fargo employee, urinated on a 72-year-old woman during a flight from New York to Delhi.
“As part of our investigation into the incident, our teams found polythene bags, rags, and clothes that had been flushed down and (were) stuck in the plumbing. This led the lavatories to become unserviceable,” an Air India spokesperson said.
Vistara, which seized its operations with its last international flight to Singapore on Tuesday midnight, was a joint venture between India’s Tata Group and the Singapore Airlines. It had commenced operations on January 9, 2015.
From 27 October 2024, Air India and SIA will codeshare on each other’s flights between Singapore and the Indian cities of Bengaluru and Chennai, increasing their total weekly scheduled codeshare services between the countries to 56 from 14.
