A structure collapsed at Upper Changi Road East, slip road into PIE (Changi), causing an incident in which a 31-year-old man died.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted at about 3.35am, according to the SCDF Facebook page.
Subsequent updates noted that the affected structure was part of a highway that is under construction. About 60 SCDF officers​, including members of Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) are involved in the search and rescue operation. K9 search dogs have also been deployed to assist in the operation.
10 workers have been conveyed to Changi General Hospital by SCDF ambulances and one worker was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
