Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana broke iconic cricketer Virat Kohli’s record for the fastest century in One-Day Internationals by an Indian.

Smriti smashed a hundred off just 50 balls against Australia on Saturday.

Kohli had reached his century off 53 deliveries against the same opponent in 2013.

Mandhana’s blistering knock was also the second-fastest century in the history of women’s cricket. Former Australia captain Meg Lanning still holds the record, scoring a 45-ball hundred against New Zealand in 2012.

With Saturday’s ton, Mandhana has taken her career tally to 13 ODI centuries, just two behind Lanning, who leads the women’s game with 15 centuries.
