Singapore to play host to international Bhangra dance competition on June 23

For the first time in 10 years, Singapore will be playing host to some of the most talented Bhangrra dance teams from around the region.

Audience will get to witness an international Bhangra competition showcasing six teams from Singapore, Malaysia, India and Australia.

The event will be held at Gateway Theatre (3615 Jalan Bukit Merah) on June 23, 2018, at 4pm. Complimentary tea will be served from 3pm.

Organised by RedDot Bhangra, the competition will treat the audience to a series of choreographed high-energy dance sets guaranteed to get everyone on their feet. 

RedDot Bhangra is a volunteer-run group that is dedicated to providing a platform for youth to engage with their roots and heritage through the main dance form of Punjabi culture.

The multi-racial group also aims to foster understanding and harmony among diverse groups in Singapore through sharing the joy of Bhangra.
