Singapore set for Southeast Asia’s largest innovation festival

The Smart Nation Innovations (SNI) Week 2019 begins in Singapore today, providing local and international attendees a platform to share and learn about the impact of technology and innovation on business, economy, government and society.

The event is a collaboration between the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), together with Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), GovTech and in partnership with Unbound.

The event, scheduled to be held from June 24-28, will see over 15,000 global government and industry leaders convene in Singapore to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.

The Smart Nation Summit, a constituent event of SNI Week to be held on June 26, is an annual by-invitation only forum aimed at facilitating impactful conversations among senior leaders and stakeholders from governments and businesses. It will bring together delegates from around the world to discuss various topics pertinent to the digital age as well as to shine a spotlight on Asia’s transformation, and the tensions between technology, security and trust.

Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, will be the Guest of Honour at the closing dialogue of the Summit, while Singapore Minister for Communications and Information, S Iswaran will speak at the opening.

This will be followed by the Innovfest Unbound festival on June 27-28. The festival is one of Singapore’s key platforms connecting technology entrepreneurs, brands, investors, businesses and thought leaders for growth and partnership opportunities. This year’s conference is expected to attract more than 15,000 participants, feature over 350 exhibitors, and more than 400 speakers.
