The data shows that the cost of romance certainly varies depending on your location. A Valentine’s Day date in Geneva, Switzerland would set you back over five times as much as in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

ECA provides knowledge, information and technology for businesses to manage their international mobility programmes. Its Cost of Living Survey measures the cost of a wide range of goods and services used by expatriates in over 460 locations around the world.

ECA's rigorous cost of living methodology has been developed over more than 40 years. It uses a multi-source approach for collecting data, comprising a dedicated team of International Data Researchers, field research companies and expatriates working for client companies. This ensures both extensive coverage and reliable, representative results.
