Singapore national team all set for ICC T20 World Cup global qualifier

2019 will be remembered in the history of Singapore cricket.

For the first time ever, the Singapore cricket team will play in the ICC T20 World Cup global qualifier – and the boys are ready to roar.

Taking place in October 2019 in Dubai, the matches will see the Singapore national team up against countries that are ranked way higher. But the men from Singapore display nothing but confidence for what lies ahead.

Speaking to Connected to India, former captain Chetan Suryawanshi said, “(Teams in Asia qualifier) are difficult to beat because all the good T20 players are in Asia. To pass that took commendable effort, and I am sure the (global qualifier) should be easy.”

Watch as Connected to India catches up with the Singapore national cricket team members to talk to them about their historic win and what it means for the growth and development of Singapore cricket.
