Singapore defense minister Ng Eng Hen visits India from November 18-21

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen will visit Visakhapatnam, India from Novmeber 18 to 21 November.

On Monday, November 19, Dr Ng will visit Port Blair to be briefed on the naval facilities.

In a press statement by Singapore's Ministry of Defense, Dr Ng and Indian Minister of Defence Nirmala Sitharaman will visit the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) on November 20.

The exercise is commemorating its 25th anniversary this year. They will witness a combined missile firing by the Republic of Singapore Navy and Indian Navy in the Bay of Bengal.

Thereafter, Dr Ng and Ms Sitharaman will co-chair the third India-Singapore Defence Ministers’ Dialogue.

The minister will be accompanied by Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Lew Chuen Hong, Deputy Secretary (Policy) Mr Teo Eng Dih, and other MINDEF/SAF officials.
