Shankar Mahadevan captures the unyielding spirit of Rani Laxmi Bai in his live performance of Vijayi Bhava in Mumbai at the launch of the music track.
The song is from Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, a biopic on Rani Laxmi Bai, portrayed by Kangana Ranaut, who shines bright in the pages of Indian history as one of the early freedom fighters of India. She trained and headlined an army of women against the East India Company during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Vijayi Bhava, which is rather inspirational in tone and manner, has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with credits for the lyrics to Prasoon Joshi.
