The woman, identified as 24-year-old Nazmeen Sulde, and her friend Al-fesh Shaikh, also 24, have been detained by the police for shooting the video, which was meant for social media.

The incident took place on Sunday, but it came to light after a passerby captured the act on a mobile phone and posted it online, reports said.

The original video uploaded by the woman had a blurred number plate, making it difficult to identify the vehicle. However, the traffic police used CCTV footage from the area to trace the car’s registration details and locate the vehicle’s owner in Kharghar.

Police said Nazmeen Sulde is a digital content creator with over one million subscribers on YouTube and claims to be a social media influencer.

The car, a Mercedes Benz, was being driven through public roads while the woman performed stunts standing on the bonnet, risking not only her life but also endangering other road users. The dance that she performed is part of a recent trend known as ‘aura farming’.

After identifying the two individuals involved, the Kharghar police registered a criminal offence against them. They have been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act for dangerous driving and public endangerment.

The authorities have reiterated that such behaviour on public roads is unacceptable and warned others against filming similar stunts for viral fame. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal action may follow based on the findings.
