Pradhana Vizha 2018 to be telecast live on Vasantham on December 19

Pradhana Vizha, the coveted awards show celebrating the plethora of television content on Media Corp’s Vasantham, will be telecast live on December 19 from the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The telecast will be on Vasantham starting from 9pm.

Meanwhile, the live coverage of the red carpet show will be live from 8pm on Toggle, MediaCorp's online service which brings news, entertainment, and information to consumers.

Announcing the event, Sabanitha Shanmugasundram, Head, Indian Audience, Mediacorp Pte Ltd, said, "Despite the changing consumption patterns of TV audiences in general today, Vasantham programmes and our talents continue to resonate with the Indian community. Pradhana Vizha 2018 is our way of saying a big 'thank you' to our viewers for their continued support, as well as to our artistes and entire Vasantham team for their hard work and dedication over the years."

Nominations were announced were announced at a lively press conference on November 23, anchored by the eminently likable and much acclaimed Anandha Kannan. If the vibrant atmosphere at the press conference was anything to go by – Pradhana Vizha 2018 is all set to be an engaging evening, with Anandha as the host the show next month.  

S Iswaran, Minister for Communications and Information will be the guest of honour and present the coveted award of the night, the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mediacorp Vasantham is the largest free-to-air TV broadcaster catering to one of the largest Indian community outside of India, located in Singapore. Vasantham’s shows include drama series, info-education, games-centric, travel, among others. A total of 18 awards will be presented on the night.

Connected to India met with the host of Pradhana Vizha 2018, Anandha Kannan, and a few nominees who sounded excited about the mega show and elated for being nominated.
