Nissan Motor India Private Limited on Wednesday, August 6, announced the launch of the new Nissan Magnite KURO Special Edition, a black-themed variant of its compact SUV. Priced starting at INR 8.30 lakh (USD 9,466) (ex-showroom, Delhi), the special edition is now available for bookings with a token amount of INR 11,000 (USD 125).
Customers can reserve the vehicle through authorised Nissan dealerships or the official website at www.nissan.in.
The word “KURO” is derived from the Japanese word for black, and this new edition is designed to reflect Japanese-inspired precision and sophistication. The Magnite KURO Special Edition comes with an all-black exterior and interior theme, creating a bold and premium look. To enhance the customer experience, the vehicle can also be viewed on Nissan’s website through a 3D configurator featuring photorealistic visuals and interactive features.
The new edition of the Magnite will be available with both turbo-petrol and naturally aspirated petrol engine options. A special KURO badge is placed under the Magnite branding on the left fender, and the exterior styling includes a Piano Black front grille, resin black front and rear skid plates, gloss black roof rails, black door handles, and boldly styled R16 diamond cut alloy wheels. It also features signature black LED headlamps with Lightsaber turn indicators.
Inside the cabin, the KURO Special Edition offers a dark, premium feel with a midnight-themed dashboard, piano black finished gear shift garnish and steering insert, and blacked-out sun visors and door trims. Feature additions include a sable black wireless charger as standard and a stealth dash cam available as an accessory.

The launch of the KURO Special Edition follows the Magnite’s recent recognition with a 5-star overall passenger safety rating from Global NCAP. Built on the CMF-A+ platform, the compact SUV comes with over 40 standard safety features including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, brake assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, and an improved body structure using high tensile strength steel.
To offer more variety, Nissan has also introduced a new Metallic Grey colour to the Magnite line-up. This will be available in the Tekna, Tekna+ and N Connecta variants.
The Nissan Magnite, launched in October 2024, has already made its presence felt in over 65 countries across right-hand and left-hand drive markets. Known for its stylish design and value-driven features, it offers more than 20 first- and best-in-segment features and over 55 safety features. With the launch of the KURO Special Edition, Nissan aims to build on the SUV’s growing popularity with an enhanced and exclusive offering.
