Singapore will celebrate its 60th birthday on August 9, 2025, with its most expansive National Day Parade (NDP) yet. For the first time, the live show will be extended from the historic Padang to the scenic Marina Bay area, allowing more Singaporeans to enjoy the festivities.

The event will be themed Majulah Singapura, paying tribute to the nation’s journey over the past six decades and encouraging unity for the future.
This year’s celebrations aim to reach a larger audience, with synchronised live shows at both Padang and Marina Bay. The main parade will continue at the Padang, with performances and visuals extending across the Bay, including a brand-new floating stage, building light projections, and spectacular fireworks displays, according to reports.
Around 27,000 people are expected at the Padang. At Marina Bay, up to 200,000 more people can join the celebration through large LED screens, interactive booths, and live segments specially expanded for the Bay area. Key locations around the Bay — such as The Promontory, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Barrage, and the Singapore Sports Hub — will also host events and screenings.
One exciting new feature is the Jump of Unity during the pre-parade segment. The Red Lions parachutists will land at the Padang, while navy divers perform water jumps in Marina Bay at the same time. For the first time, the mobile column of vehicles will be combined with an aerial flypast and maritime display, offering a unique multi-domain performance.
Theme song
This year’s NDP theme song, Here We Are, will be performed by well-known local singers Kit Chan and Charlie Lim, along with vocal group The Island Voices. The song highlights themes of unity, resilience, and identity, reflecting the shared experiences of Singaporeans over the years.
Co-written by Charlie Lim and Chok Kerong, and produced by Dr Sydney Tan, the song hopes to bring the community together in celebration.

A music video, directed by filmmaker He Shuming, features a 60-member choir singing in a school hall setting — symbolising a familiar and inclusive space for Singaporeans. The video also includes scenes of people overcoming challenges and marking achievements, reinforcing the song’s heartfelt message.
The show segment at the Padang will consist of four acts inspired by the National Anthem. These will include appearances by celebrated artists like Chan, Lim, and Dick Lee. The segment will end with a nationwide “Majulah Moment”, where all Singaporeans will be invited to recite the pledge and sing the National Anthem together.
Traditional crowd favourites such as the state flag flypast, presidential gun salute, and aerial tribute by the air force will be included in the programme.
Returning for the first time since 2019, the mobile column will showcase air, land, and sea assets from the Singapore Armed Forces, the Home Team, and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
Celebrations across the city-state
The festivities will not be limited to the central locations. On August 10, celebrations will spread to five heartland sites with carnivals, fireworks, drone shows, and live performances. The mobile column will also travel to the neighbourhoods for the first time since 2020.
From mid-June, every household in Singapore can redeem a free national flag via Shopee, which can be collected at over 3,000 locations islandwide and displayed from July through September.
To mark SG60, the official logo creatively combines the number “60” with the word “GO”, symbolising forward momentum. Five shooting stars in the logo stand for the ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice, and equality. In a special initiative, 25 individuals from different walks of life will create their own interpretations of the logo, to be featured online in the weeks leading up to the parade.

Local fashion brands like Love, Bonito and The Elly Store, along with international label Uniqlo, will also release themed red-and-white outfits to mark the occasion.
To inspire community spirit, the #GiveAsOneSG campaign will return with a 60-day giving drive from June 10 to August 10. This initiative encourages Singaporeans to volunteer or donate in honour of National Day. Those interested can participate through the giving.sg platform.
