Bollywood veteran Nana Patekar has teamed up with hottie Mahie Gill for the film ‘Wedding Anniversary’. This romantic drama is directed by Shekhar S Jha and presented by Bharat Shah.
The film, set in Goa, revolves around a couple and especially the leading lady Kahani (Mahie Gill)who met her Mr Right – Nirbhay (Priyanshu Chatterjee) in Goa for the first time and fell in love. Kahani and Nirbhay now want to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in Goa.
Kahani arrives in Goa before Nirbhay and starts preparing for the special night, but Nirbhay at the 11th-hour cancels his visit. A heart-broken Kahani is soon joined by a stranger Nagarjuna (Nana Patekar) and their life takes a turn.
The film that will hit the screens on February 17, is coproduced by a young filmmaker-actor – Shreya Narayan (of Super Nani fame). “The film came to me at a very difficult time in my life. My mother had passed away after a very difficult struggle with cancer, and I was not working, neither was I in a state to work as an actor. It was then that the producer-director duo who had already decided on making this film asked me to contribute with my know-how and expertise in the field of films by working on the production side of things. That's how it started. Thus, producing was really an opportunity that sprung from extreme pain and loss. But then God always hands out an anchor,” says Shreya.
