While performing her popular song “Roar” at the Chase Center, a large butterfly prop she was riding suddenly malfunctioned. The prop, which was suspended over the crowd by cables, jerked and dropped unexpectedly.

Videos shared by audience members on social media captured the moment clearly.

Perry immediately stopped singing but quickly regained her balance and composure. After looking up at the hanging prop, she resumed her performance as the butterfly swung above the stage.

This incident comes shortly after a similar event involving another music superstar. Beyoncé’s flying car prop tilted midair during her Cowboy Carter tour concert in Houston last month. Fortunately, Beyoncé was lowered safely without any injury.

The clip of Perry’s near mishap has gone viral, drawing attention from fans and viewers around the world.
