Khatris: Family that acts together stays together

Six years after moving to Singapore, from Boston, the Khatri family, consisting of Vishal Khatri, wife Vartika Khatri and son Vihaan Khatri, eight, has turned their passion for acting into something which now ties them together.

Vishal Khatri, theatre buff since school days, in Lucknow, found avenues to feed his acting appetite on this sunny island. Starting with Singapore’s only Hindi theatre festival, Dastak of which he has been a part since its inception in 2016, Vishal keeps his passion going with part-time mimicry, and emceeing.

His performing adventures inspired his wife and son, who tried out acting for themselves – and after they started, there was no turning back.

Connected to India speaks to this talented, tight knit family about their acting journey and what keeps them going.
