Kalaa Utsavam 2020: Temple of Fine Arts takes audiences on a journey through the rich tradition of carnatic music

With the theme of the Tree of Life, Kalaa Utsavam 2020 enthralled its audiences with a series of live carnatic music and classical dance performances by Singapore's Indian arts community.

One such presentation was by the Temple of Fine Arts’ Carnatic Instrumental Quartet.

Carnatic instruments are born to emulate the voices and ragas of South India. The veena, violin, mridangam and flute in particular, embody a large part of the classical Indian Heritage.
