Gayle to join KXIP after testing COVID-negative

Big hitter Chris Gayle is set to join his Kings XI Punjab squad in the UAE after testing negative for COVID-19. There were some doubts about Gayle’s coronavirus status as he attended sprinter Usain Bolt’s birthday party recently, after which the athlete tested positive and is now in home quarantine.

However, Gayle put up Instagram stories with videos of his swab testing, ahead of his flight to the UAE.

He will be tested once again at the airport when he lands in the UAE and will have to serve a 6-day quarantine. He will be tested on Days one, three and five and if all those results are negative, he will join his squad.

Delhi Capitals hire new bowling coach

The Delhi Capitals have named former Australia fast bowler Ryan Harris as their bowling coach for the 2020 IPL season. Harris replaces compatriot James Hopes.

Harris, will join the Capitals’ coaching staff consisting of head coach Ricky Ponting, assistant coach Mohammad Kaif and spin-bowling coach Samuel Badree.
