Popular on-demand home service UrbanClap launched its service in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abu Dhabi after making its overseas debut in Dubai last year.
The company plans to initiate operations in Abu Dhabi with over 20 service partners offering five services – deep cleaning, maids, pest control, handymen and AC servicing and repair, with home painting and packers and movers to be added soon.
“We are ecstatic about the expansion of UrbanClap’s footprint in the UAE by entering Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi has a large pool of service professionals available who are not yet online. This is a huge opportunity for UrbanClap to explore the market and tap into this latent talent and enable them to be independent micro-entrepreneurs in the coming five years – hence reimagining how we have consumed services so far,” said Abhiraj Bhal, co-founder of UrbanClap.
In India, the company operates in 10 cities and offers services such as beauty and spa at home, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting etc. through its mobile app and website.
