India’s new Ambassador to the UAE takes charge

India's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Pavan Kapoor took charge of the office last week. Kapoor today also presented a copy of his credentials to Shihab Al Faheem, Assistant Under Secretary for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE. 

The new Ambassador commenced his first day in office last week by offering floral tributes to a bust of Mahatma Gandhi which was unveiled as part of his 150th birth anniversary.

Kapoor was appointed by India's Ministry of External Affairs as the country’s new Ambassador to the UAE on August 28. The 1990 cadre IFS officer last served as India's Ambassador to Israel for over three years.
