Indian teacher wins AED1 million in Dubai draw

An Indian teacher has become the latest millionaire in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as she won AED1 million in Commercial Bank International’s annual draw.

The teacher, Amruta Joshi, has been in the teaching profession in Dubai for 19 years.

Sharing her joy, she said, “Words cannot describe how excited I am to receive the draw. I did not believe my luck at first, and even asked my husband to call back to confirm. This prize money will help me realise my life's dream of providing my children with a brilliant education.”

A Bangladeshi worker, Jahiri Islam Kabir, was also lucky to win a AED100,000 prize during December.  

Sharing his excitement, he said, “This award is life-changing for me in so many ways. I never expected to win a prize worth over 2 million Bangladeshi Taka. With this money, I will be able to secure my parents' future back in Bangladesh.”
