Indian states make power pitches at Invest North Summit in Singapore

Another chapter was written in the growing economic relationship between India and Singapore this week as official delegations from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand descended on the island nation for the Invest North Summit 2018.

The investors' conference, held for the first time outside India, saw pitches made by Trivendra Singh Rawat, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Satish Mahana, Minister for Industrial Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Manpreet Singh Badal, Minister for Finance, Planning and Employment Generation, Government of Punjab.

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries and facilitated by the Indian High Commission in Singapore, the event also served as a launchpad for the upcoming Destination Uttarakhand: Investors Summit scheduled for October 7-8, 2018.
