Indian Embassy to host mango tasting fest in Washington DC

The Embassy of India in Washington DC will be hosting a special Indian Mango Tasting Fest on Saturday, July 12, for the public.

The event will take place between 12 PM and 3 PM at 21 Dupont Circle NW, Washington, DC 20036. It is open to all and does not require any registration, making it a welcoming event for anyone interested in experiencing the unique flavours of Indian mangoes.

Visitors will get a chance to enjoy some of India’s most popular mango varieties, including Dasheri, Mallika, Raw Totapuri, Chausa, and Langra.

These mangoes are known for their rich taste, distinct aroma, and deep cultural connection to Indian summers and farming traditions. The festival aims to showcase the diversity and heritage of Indian agriculture through its iconic summer fruit.

Alongside the mango tasting, the event will feature live music to add to the lively atmosphere of DuPont Circle on a summer Saturday. Guests can enjoy a refreshing bowl of fresh mangoes and a cool glass of traditional Indian lassi, offering a perfect way to relax and enjoy the afternoon.
