The Ministry of Health has announced the discharge of 10 COVID-19 patients who have recovered from the infection – this is the maximum number of people discharged since Singapore reported its first case on January 23.
The MOH also announced the confirmation of one new case of COVID-19 – a patient who is linked to Case 82, a 57-year old woman who is the only known patient to have both dengue and COVID-19.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Singapore is now 86, with 47 patients recovered and discharged. Of the 39 patients still in hospital, most are stable and recovering, said the MOH with five in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Case 86: A 24 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
He reported the onset of symptoms on February 14 February and sought treatment at two general practitioner clinics on February 16 and 18. He went to the emergency department at Ng Teng Feng General Hospital on February 19 and was immediately isolated, with subsequent test results confirming COVID-19 infection.
Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed at his home at Bukit Batok East Avenue 5. He is a student at Singapore Institute of Technology, but had not gone to school since the onset of symptoms.
MOH also stated that as of February 21, 12 pm, they have identified 2,696 close contacts who have been quarantined. Of these, 1,122 are currently quarantined, and 1,574 have completed their quarantine.
