The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Sunday it has killed a Hezbollah Radwan Force special operations commander in the Al-Qlaiaah area of southern Lebanon.

The commander was identified as Muhammad Akram Arabiya.

“Arabiya advanced the reestablishment of Hezbollah’s combat capabilities and took part in attempts to rebuild Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure in violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said in a statement on X.

Earlier, the IDF reported it had killed Zayn al-Abidin Hussein Fatouni, a commander in the anti-tank unit of the Radwan Force battalion. “The terrorist was involved in efforts to reestablish Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon,” the statement said.

The IDF said both individuals’ activities violated the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which came into effect on November 27, 2024.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues occasional strikes in Lebanon, citing operations against Hezbollah “threats,” and maintains forces at five main positions along the Lebanese border, according to Xinhua news agency.
