Helmet a funny take on Indians’ awkwardness in asking for condoms: Dino Morea

"I've had this problem when I wanted to go and buy condoms for the first time. I was really embarrased and found it awkward to walk into the store and say I want a condom," actor-producer Dino Morea said ahead of the OTT release of 'Helmet'. A satirical comedy film that explores the Indian quirk of people who hesitate or are shy to buy condoms.

The movie is set to release as a ZEE5 Original across the world this Friday, September 3. Directed by debutant Satram Ramani and co-produced by Dino Morea and Sony Pictures, it stars Aparshakti Khurana, Pranutan Bahl, Ashish Verma and Abhishek Banerjee.

Dino, in a Zoom interview with Connected to India, said that he got onboard to produce because he could “relate” to the story on a very “personal” level. He added that the makers' primary motivation was to tell a good story that would keep the audience engaged.

The film is scheduled to start streaming on ZEE5 from September 3 onwards.
