Google Play’s best list of apps in Singapore and Malaysia have some new names this year

Google Play announced the winners of their Best of 2020 awards, a celebration of apps, games, books, movies and other top content in different regions around the world. 

The US announced its list of the apps and titles that users and Google Play editors curated, and a list of the top 10 apps that have made a deep impression among users in Singapore and Malaysia was also released.

This list reflects interesting trends on relating our interest in digital tools to stay productive in a changed work environment; dealing with quarantine and lockdown periods during the pandemic; working on self-identity while being mindful of mental wellbeing, and also extending a helping hand to others.

"2020 changed the way we all live, work, and go about the routines that keep us grounded. It was a year of self-reflection and improvement, and many apps played a role in helping us find a path forward," a Google statement read.
