Flipkart has announced the tenth edition of its flagship sale event, ‘Crafted by Bharat,’ to be held on August 15, 2025, marking India’s 79th Independence Day. The sale will include products from state-run handicraft bodies, self-help groups, NGOs, and regional businesses, covering furniture, home decor, kitchenware, apparel, and more.

A dedicated storefront will highlight women entrepreneurs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities such as Bhadohi, Hathras, Madurai, and Kannauj. Over 100 new sellers have joined this year, expanding the range of culturally rich products while supporting artisans’ livelihoods.

Flipkart’s initiative supports MSMEs and underserved communities by offering pan-India reach, competitive pricing, promotional support, and dedicated account managers to help sellers grow sustainably. The platform focuses on capacity building and giving indigenous businesses equal representation in the digital marketplace.

Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Flipkart Group, said, “Crafted by Bharat is a reflection of Flipkart’s deep-rooted commitment to empowering India’s artisans, weavers, and small businesses by enabling access to a nationwide digital marketplace. This initiative strengthens economic opportunities and helps preserve India’s cultural identity.”

Artisan Nafiz Ahmed, owner of RAKANO, added, “We have seen our business grow steadily with every edition of the Crafted by Bharat sale. Flipkart Samarth’s support has given us confidence to scale our business and connect with customers across India.”

Launched in 2019, Flipkart Samarth aims to empower over 1.8 million livelihoods by providing underserved communities with access to e-commerce and helping them build sustainable businesses.
