Favourites SSC crush rising stars SCG XI by 143 runs to advance to final

Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) showed why they were favourites to win the 5th International SCC T20 2017 as they carted Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) XI bowlers to all corners of the park on their way to racking up the highest score of the tournament. The Sri Lankan side reached 236/3 thanks to a brilliant unbeaten partnership between man of the match Sammu Ashan (98 off 39) and Charith Asalanka (70 off 38).

In response, SCG were skittled out for 96, with one batsman retired hurt, to lose by 143 runs. The detailed match report can be found below.
