"We understand that your business may continue to experience disruptions resulting from the global outbreak of COVID-19," Facebook Singapore said.

"We’ve heard that a little financial support can go a long way, so we are offering grants of cash and ad credits to small businesses in Singapore to help during this challenging time."

Each eligible business could receive a grant worth SGD5500 – comprising SGD3500 in cash and SGD2000 in optional ad credits.

Applications are open from Sept 16 to 22. Businesses do not need to have a Facebook presence in order to apply.

To be eligible for the grant, the business will need to be located in Singapore, and have between two and 50 employees. The company also needs to have been in business for over a year as of January 1, 2020.
