Famous in the world for having the most modern technology in the world, Dubai Police now boast of a new high-tech vehicle which can recognise faces, another reason for speeding criminals in the UAE to be very afraid.

Nicknamed Ghiath, this modern hypercar will fight crime by using artificial-intelligence systems with facial-recognition technology.

Carmaker of Ghiath, W Motors, says that it is one of the most advanced police vehicles in the world.

The car is the result of the collaboration between the Dubai Police, Dubai-based automotive company W Motors and the Abu Dhabi-based Safe City Group.

In a Facebook post, W Motors described the attributes of the latest addition in the fleet of Dubai Police, “Ghiath is a police patrol equipped with artificial intelligence systems featuring facial recognition technology. The new patrol is one of the most advanced police vehicles in the world and it is equipped with the latest technologies.

“Its features include the latest crime-busting ability and a set of touchscreens. The patrol can recognise vehicles tacked by Dubai Police. Ghiath is also equipped with the most sophisticated communication system linked directly with the Command Operations Room. Ghiath is the latest addition to Dubai Police HQ's incredible fleet of supercars,” it said.
