Popular Indian singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s recent trip to London served up more than just travel content — it brewed a viral Instagram reel that has left fans chuckling. Known for his quirky charm and comic timing, Diljit decided to sample what he called the most expensive coffee of his life. The bill? A cool INR 30,000 (GBP 265).
In the video, Diljit is seen dressed to impress in a black leather jacket, black sunglasses, and his signature hat. But the real highlight wasn’t the outfit — it was his running commentary in Punjabi, which turned the simple act of sipping coffee into a comedy sketch.
“I want to drink the Japan Typica coffee. This is too pricey,” he says in Punjabi, watching the staff carefully measure out the coffee with scientific precision.
“They are measuring and pouring everything despite taking so much money. I’m going to drink something pure now,” he adds, before joking that he won’t be eating anything else that day — the coffee alone had taken up his entire meal budget.
The humour continued as he weighed the price tag against other life events. “People get married with this kind of budget in India,” he quipped, suggesting the coffee could’ve easily funded an appearance at a Punjabi wedding.
Diljit asked if he felt any different after sipping it, just to conclude that he felt the taste was little ‘pheeki’ (bland).
While the coffee may or may not have impressed his taste buds, Diljit’s humour clearly hit the mark.
