DBS announces COVID-19 relief efforts to help India worth INR 10 crore

DBS has announced that it is committing INR 10 crore worth of COVID relief aid for India, including providing three cryogenic oxygen cylinder tanks. 

DBS has tied up with the Singapore High Commission in India and the High Commission of India based in Singapore to import three cryogenic oxygen tanks with a capacity of 20,000 litres each.

The tanks will be donated via the Singapore Red Cross to India and will be deployed for use through the Indian Ministry of Health.

DBS has also partnered with 'Doctors For You' to support the setting-up of a 300-bed oxygen equipped facility in Mumbai and the installation of mini oxygen plants, procurement of oxygen concentrators, and provision of medical personnel.

It has additionally tied up with 'United Way Mumbai' to facilitate ICU unit beds and equipment, oxygen concentrator devices and other medical supplies to enhance existing capacity at public healthcare facilities in Mumbai and Pune.

DBS employees across Asia have also started a fundraising initiative to donate funds towards healthcare support and vaccination for the underprivileged through GiveIndia.
