COVID-19 news round-up: Singapore COVID-19 cases reach 1000, US reports new one-day record of 884 deaths

Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has arranged for two special flights to bring citizens and Permanent Residents from India back to the island-state. 

In the US, a six-week-old infant died of complications relating to the coronavirus, as the country reported a new one-day record of 884 deaths. World Health Organisation has warned that the total number of infections globally could reach 1 million soon.
