The National Environment Agency (NEA) has suspended the license of the coffee shop at Blk 503 Jurong West Avenue 1. The coffee shop was found to have violated several health violations related to its toilet facilities, NEA said in a press statement.
The eating house, together with all of its food stalls, will be required to cease operations for a day on 17 March, 2017.
The main operator of the coffee shop has accumulated 14 demerit points over the last 12 months for failing to maintain sanitary fittings in good condition and repair. The operator also failed to provide hand soap in the toilet.
NEA had also imposed S$1,000 fine on the main operator.
“NEA takes a serious view of these offences and would like to remind food operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times... NEA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act,” NEA said in the suspension notice.
