Asian Games: Indian women's Squash team beat Pakistan in opening encounter

The Indian women's Squash team won 3-0 against Pakistan in their opening Pool B match at the Asian Games.

The 2023 edition of the biggest sporting extravaganza in the continent is taking place in China's Hangzhou.

Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa and Tanvi Khanna won consecutive games in their respective matches.

India will next face Nepal and Macao China on September 27, starting at 7:30 am, in the next two group matches.

Fifteen-year-old Anahat Singh, an under-15 and under-17 Asian champion, won 3-0 in the first match of the India vs Pakistan women's squash Pool B tie to give India the lead. She beat Sadia Gul 11-6, 11-6, 11-3.

Meanwhile, Chinappa won the second match 11-2, 11-5, 11-7 against Pakistan's Noor Ul Huda Sadiq.

The ongoing Asian Games will take place from September 23 to October 8.
