ZEE5 Global is set to premiere the much-awaited Marathi film Ata Thambaycha Naay! (No Stopping Now!) on 28th June. After creating a strong impact in theatres, the film is now making its digital debut exclusively on the platform, which offers language-specific plans, including one specially designed for Marathi viewers.

Ata Thambaycha Naay! is a tribute to Mumbai’s sanitation workers and tells a heartwarming story based on real-life events. The film is directed by debutant Shivraj Waichal and features popular actors Bharat Jadhav, Siddhartha Jadhav, and acclaimed filmmaker-actor Ashutosh Gowariker in key roles.
With a strong emotional core, the film explores the lives of Class IV employees of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), who decide to return to school and pursue literacy with the support of a reform-minded municipal officer.
The story follows Tukaram, played by Bharat Jadhav, a middle-aged sanitation worker who has spent his entire life cleaning the streets of Mumbai. Often ignored and disrespected, he finds new purpose when an officer, portrayed by Ashutosh Gowariker, encourages him and his co-workers to resume their education.
Their journey is not easy, as they face challenges such as societal judgment, age-related self-doubt, and personal limitations. However, what starts as an effort to learn how to read and write transforms into a powerful journey of discovering dignity, purpose, and identity.
The film has already earned a strong response in theatres, becoming a cultural hit and receiving positive reviews for its message and performances. It achieved a high IMDb rating of 8.8 and also did well at the box office.
Shivraj Waichal’s directorial debut has been praised for its sincere storytelling and strong emotional impact. The actors have shared their deep connection with their characters and the joy of being part of a film that highlights the struggles and dreams of everyday heroes. Bharat Jadhav, who plays Tukaram, found the role especially meaningful, while Siddhartha Jadhav and Ashutosh Gowariker expressed pride in portraying characters that bring attention to the lives of Mumbai’s overlooked workforce.
With its upcoming digital premiere, Ata Thambaycha Naay! is now ready to reach audiences around the world through ZEE5 Global. The platform aims to bring language-rich, rooted stories like this to wider viewership, celebrating real-life inspirations and human resilience.
