Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar will share the screen in Bhagwat, a new crime thriller inspired by true events that is set to stream on ZEE5 Global.

The film, produced by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and Dog ’n’ Bone Pictures, follows a high-stakes investigation that moves from a missing woman’s case into a disturbing story of trafficking and deception.
Warsi plays Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat, who is drawn into what begins as a routine police inquiry but soon spirals into a dark web of secrets.
Kumar appears as Sameer, a professor whose romance with Meera unfolds alongside the tense investigation, adding a layer of vulnerability to the otherwise gritty narrative. The film, directed by Akshay Shere, is set against the backdrop of Robertsganj in Uttar Pradesh.
Kaveri Das, Business Head, Hindi ZEE5, described the film as “a gripping thriller that’s as emotionally layered as it is suspenseful,” adding that it reflects the platform’s commitment to stories that leave an impact beyond entertainment.
Priyanka Chaudhary, COO and CFO of Jio Studios, said the film is “a taut, heartland thriller inspired by true events that is as thought-provoking as it is entertaining,” and marks another collaboration with ZEE5 Global after the success of Mrs. earlier this year.
Producer Harman Baweja said Bhagwat explores “the shadows of human nature, where love, deception, and justice collide,” while delivering a nail-biting cinematic experience.
The teaser of Bhagwat has been released, and the film will premiere exclusively on ZEE5 Global.
