ZEE5 Global has announced that the Telugu horror thriller Kishkindhapuri will premiere on its platform on October 17. The film, directed by Kaushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, features Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles, alongside Makarand Deshpande and Tanikella Bharani.

Following its theatrical run, the movie is now set for its digital release on the global streaming platform.
Set in an abandoned radio station, Kishkindhapuri tells the story of a group of visitors who embark on a ghost tour and unintentionally awaken a dormant spirit. Their curiosity soon turns into terror as they realise they are trapped inside with no escape.
The film combines elements of suspense and psychological tension, focusing on how the characters confront fear and survival in a confined, eerie space.
Lead actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas spoke about the challenges of performing in a horror film and how it tested him as an actor. “This was one of the toughest roles I’ve taken on because horror requires you to react to things that aren’t always there in front of you. As an actor, it pushed me out of my comfort zone; I had to constantly live in that atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. Even off-camera, the eerie setting of the radio station lingered with me. I think audiences will enjoy the way the film keeps you guessing at every turn,” he said.
Anupama Parameswaran, who plays one of the central characters, said she was drawn to the realism in the script and the emotional depth of her role. “What excited me about Kishkindhapuri was how real everything felt. My character isn’t a ‘horror heroine’ stereotype; she feels fear, she breaks down, she questions herself, but she also finds strength in the most unexpected moments. That human side of survival is what I hope people will connect with. For me, shooting in those haunting locations was an experience in itself. It almost felt like the environment was pushing us deeper into our roles,” she said.
