Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found dead in their Los Angeles home, and their son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to authorities.

In a statement, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said: “As a result of the initial investigation, it was determined that the Reiners were victims of homicide. The investigation further revealed that Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Robert and Michele Reiner, was responsible for their deaths.”

Police confirmed that Nick Reiner remains in custody, booked for murder, with no bail.

Law enforcement sources told ABC News that Nick was not at home when his parents were discovered stabbed to death. Investigators believe he left the residence after the stabbings. He was later located and arrested near the University of Southern California.

Sources told the news channel that the Reiners’ daughter discovered her parents’ bodies on Sunday. The previous night, Rob and Nick Reiner reportedly had an argument at a holiday party they attended, where Nick was observed acting strangely.

His films are known for their blend of humor, heart, and social commentary, leaving a lasting impact on audiences and critics alike.
