Dutch politician Geert Wilders has described Pakistan as a “100% terror state” and a “dangerous sharia shithole” after the Bondi Beach massacre in Australia. On Sunday, two Pakistani gunmen — now identified as father and son — opened fire at the crowded beach, targeting Jews gathered there to celebrate the Hanukkah Festival.
In an X post that has been widely talked about, Wilders — leader of the right-wing Party for Freedom (PVV) in the Netherlands — has minced no words about Pakistan, a country that has become synonymous with terrorism.

In six succinct sentences in his post, Wilders wrote: “Pakistan is 100% terror state. A dangerous sharia shithole. Osama Bin Laden lived there for many years. The #bondibeach terrorists are from Pakistan. I got many fatwas to kill me from Pakistani mullahs. We all should boycott and isolate #Pakistan!”
The Bondi Beach terror attack targeting Jews on December 14 strongly recalls the Pahalgam terror attack, in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, where Pakistani terrorists pointed guns at Indian tourists, asked them about their religion, and selectively massacred Hindus.
When the Indian military launched its retaliatory action in early May — Operation Sindoor, precisely targeting Pakistani terrorist camps — Wilders was among the global politicians emphatically expressing his support for the Indian response.
He wrote on X: “I love India. #Kashmir is 100% Indian.” He hashtagged this post #PakistanBehindPahalgam.
In August 2019, when the Narendra Modi government in India had abrogated Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, putting an end to decades of a “special status” for the state, Wilders again vocally supported the move.
In an X post, he wrote: “I support my friends in #India about #Kashmir and their decision to revoke #Art370. No more state terrorism from #Pakistan!”
