The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will be conducting a series of live-firing and military exercises across the island and surrounding waters from 13 to 20 October 2025.

The Ministry of Defence has announced that the drills will include the use of live ammunition, flares, blanks and thunderflashes, and that necessary safety measures will be in place throughout the period.
During this time, Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang and Pulau Pawai, along with their surrounding waters, have been designated as live-firing areas. Members of the public are advised to stay away from these zones, as well as from the prohibited waters near Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base. Loud noises may be heard in the vicinity as part of the scheduled training activities.
The SAF will also conduct live-firing exercises at the Pasir Laba or SAFTI Live-Firing Area over the same period. Sea vessels navigating the Western Johor Straits are required to remain within the 75-metre navigable sea lane and avoid crossing into the live-firing boundary to ensure safety.
In addition to live-firing drills, military exercises will take place in several parts of Singapore, including Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang and Mandai. The exercises will involve the use of blanks and thunderflashes, which may cause loud sounds during training.
Authorities have reminded the public not to be alarmed by any activity or noise linked to these operations. They have also reiterated that entering gazetted or restricted SAF areas without authorisation is a criminal offence punishable by law. Members of the public have been urged to observe safety advisories and keep clear of all exercise and live-firing zones.
