West Indies have named a 15-member squad for the two-Test series against India, to be played in Ahmedabad and Delhi from October 2 to 14. The assignment is the team’s first overseas challenge of the new ICC World Test Championship cycle and their first red-ball tour of India since 2018.

Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Alick Athanaze and Khary Pierre have been added to the side after the recent series against Australia.
Chanderpaul and Athanaze will look to provide stability at the top of the order, while Pierre has been chosen as the second specialist spinner following his standout performances in the West Indies Championship, where he finished as the highest wicket-taker.

Gudakesh Motie has been rested for this series to balance his workload ahead of a demanding limited-overs schedule, highlighted by the T20 World Cup early next year.
The team management under head coach Daren Sammy and Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe emphasised that the squad was picked with the Indian conditions in mind, while also aiming to build depth and continuity in the Test setup.
The group will depart the Caribbean on September 22 and arrive in Ahmedabad on September 24 to prepare for the series.
The first Test will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2 to 6, followed by the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi from October 10 to 14.
