India has blamed the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its proxy, The Resistance Front (TRF), for carrying out the brutal attack.

Meanwhile, tensions continue to rise along the Line of Control (LoC), as the Pakistan Army has been firing on Indian positions for the past seven days.

On the night of April 30 and May 1, Pakistani troops fired small arms across the LoC targeting the Kupwara, Uri, and Akhnoor sectors.

According to a Defence Ministry spokesperson, the Indian Army gave a proportionate response. Similar incidents were also reported along the International Border in Jammu’s Pargwal sector, where Pakistan Rangers opened fire at Indian posts.
