Singapore Tourism Board goes all out to attract Indian visitors

As part of an ongoing plan to develop tourism with India, travel planners SOTC and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have collaborated in launching a unique series of 3-D art installations featuring the Lion City’s attractions across malls in three cities – Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi.

With the unique 3-D art installations, the objective is to showcase the most iconic locales of Singapore in an instant. Customers can take pictures and share them on their social media platforms.

With such posts, the customers stand a chance to win a free holiday by answering three questions about Singapore. Besides the 3-D art installations, SOTC and STB have also partnered to create a set of promotional videos for Singapore to showcase the history, culture, cuisine, adventure and wildlife and scenic landscapes of the city, in line with the STB’s destination brand, ‘Passion Made Possible’.

“Singapore is a beautiful city, rich in culture and heritage which offers a varied set of attractions for Indian tourists. This collaboration will bring the sights of Singapore, which is on every traveller’s bucket list,” Daniel D’Souza, president and country head of leisure at SOTC Travel said.

India is a huge tourist destination market for countries worldwide. Singapore, Taiwan, Azerbaijan and Korea are investing in advertising in India to woo tourists.

Earlier this year, the STB collaborated with St+art India Foundation for the second time to promote their local talent and tourism in India through a series of displays and workshops featuring street artists and other creative talents from Singapore.

India continues to be the third-largest visitor source market for Singapore, contributing over one million annual visitors for the fourth year in a row.

“This will help amplify our reach to Indian consumers and provide a glimpse of the new and refreshed experiences. STB has embarked on a series of initiatives this year, from engaging the travel trade to interesting brand collaborations to communicate how Singapore remains a special destination,” GB Srithar, regional director of India, Middle East and South Asia at STB said.
