7-year-old Indian-origin boy wishes for peace in Syria

At this tender age, children hardly think beyond chocolates, Santa, and fairyland, but this little angel went extra miles and asked for a different gift from Santa.

Aarush wrote the letter so beautifully that it made his teacher emotional.

Aarush Anand, a 7-year-old- boy in Nottingham, UK, wrote a heartfelt letter to Santa asking for peace in Syria as a Christmas gift.

The letter is so beautifully written that it made his teacher emotional.

Here’s what he had written:

In the letter, Aarush told Santa not to be "stressed out" as "it's hard work going all over the world".

"The only thing I want for Christmas is peace, like in Syria," he added.

Aarush concluded his letter with, "Please give money to charities. PS Don't give me anything else."

Richard Miller, Aarush’s teacher at Nottingham High School, was ‘taken aback’ by the heartfelt letter.

"When I read Aarush's (letter), I was quite struck. I felt emotional about it because it was the last thing I was expecting to read, that he had taken himself off to write something that was completely different, that was unexpected. I was really quite moved by that," quipped Richard.
