6 grams of gold, a billion dreams: OGQ’s mission for India’s sporting glory

It was a special evening in Singapore when Olympic Gold Quest, or OGQ, held an event to talk about Indian sports and the athletes they support.

A room full of people listened and learned about how OGQ helps young players reach the Olympics and Paralympics. The event was led by Viren Rasquinha, former Indian hockey captain and now the CEO of OGQ. His talk about hard work and courage touched everyone in the room.

OGQ was started by Indian sporting legends Geet Sethi, Prakash Padukone, Ashwini Nachappa, and Viswanathan Anand. The group helps young and talented athletes train well so that they can win medals for India. Over the years, OGQ has supported more than 400 athletes, including many who won medals at the Olympics and Paralympics.

Stories of athletes like Navdeep Singh, who won a gold medal in javelin at the Paris Paralympics, and Sheetal Devi, an armless archer who became a world champion, inspired the audience.
