Prime Minister Narendra Modi's called out to the nation to make some noise to show gratitude to people who are battling on the frontlines in the war against COVID19.

On this day when India voluntarily observed 'Janata Curfew' to break the chain, the videos shared on social media in answer to his call are overwhelming!

Here are some sports personalites and Bollywood celebrities applauding during '5baje5minute', which translates to 'For 5 minutes at 5 o'clock'. 

Bollywood director Karan Johar and family applauded to celebrate the unity of spirit and resilience.

Actor Akshay Kumar clapped for 5 minutes at 5pm to thank essential service providers for their selfless work.

Varun Dhawan joined at 5pm for 5 minutes and requested people his age to ensure their parents safety during India's fight agaist coronavirus.

Former Indian ace spinner, cricketer Harbhajan Singh thanked those who risked their lives to save many lives.
