This year, 50 eateries in Singapore have been awarded the Bib Gourmand award by Michelin.
This was almost twice the number as last year (28), according to a press release on Wednesday, Jul 18.
The Bib Gourmand award was established in 1997. It recognises establishments selected by the Michelin inspectors for their good value for money, with menu items priced no more than S$45.
The full Michelin Guide Book, which will be released on July 25, will also include eating establishments awarded Michelin stars.
